Athiest Calls for Angels and Stars from Government Trees

The complaints of ONE man nearly succeeded in removing symbols associated with Christianity from  Government property.

ONE woman is responsible for removing prayer from schools.

ONE man nearly exterminated the Jewish population…

Do you think that your ONE voice/vote/opinion can’t make a difference…please reconsider. Silence is consent.

“An order to remove angels and stars from Christmas trees in all government buildings in one California county has been rescinded following the uproar that ensued over the decision.

Acting County Administrator Chris Thomas in Sonoma County informed the heads of all 26 county departments to disregard his previous order, which was made in response to the complaint of a disabled atheist veteran.

Last week,a 65-year-old man, who claims to have been an atheist all his life and regularly files complaints about religious symbols in public places, complained to Sonoma County officials after seeing an angel on top of a six-foot Christmas tree in the lobby of the county recorder’s office and later a star ornament in the office of the county Board of Supervisors.

This man,  said he plans to meet with lawyers next month to consider legal action to prevent future use of the decorations. He also plans to ask Sonoma officials to remove a steel cross erected as a memorial to an accident victim, according to FoxNews.com.”

  1. I live about a 55 minute drive from a battlefield of the American Revolution where one of my ancestors was a combatant, Guilford Courthouse. That war involved the issue of Freedom of Religion. Another member of my family joined the DAR on the basis of another ancestor’s participation in the Revolution. In the latter case, that ancestor became what I am, a Baptist minister, the original advocates who put religious liberty into law and practice in the colony of Rhode Island which was later followed in Virginia and then in the new nation. Having been an atheist, I believe he or she has the right to practice their unbelief, to freely advocate atheism in the market place of ideas, but when the atheist advocates removing the right of public expression that person is advocating the denial of the right to practice Remember it was our ancestors and predecessors that advocated the idea of freedom of religion and there is a difference in that and freedom from religion. The old Soviet Union advocated freedom of religion, but it actually practiced freedom from religion. Children could report on parents and their teaching of so-called superstition, and the parents could wind up in siberia and one of the concentration camps. Interestingly enough, the idea of freedom of religion derives from the Bible itself, and the Bible more than any other source or person is responsible for the political documents that are the foundation of this nation according to a survey of those documents by to professors from a university in Houston.

Thank you so much for sharing your heart and personal experiences. We agree one hundred percent that this nation was founded on Biblical principles that need to be protected and preserved. Together we can make sure that these truths are passed down from generation to generation; remembering many of our Founding Fathers/signers of the Declaration of Independence were pastors and men of deep spiritual conviction.
